Welcome!

Hello there, and welcome along to the World of Crisps!

Everyone loves a good crisp, don't they? Everyone's got their favourite flavour, their favourite brand and even their favourite method of eating said snack. We found, upon openly admitting our admiration of the crisp to others, that the influence and respect for this oft-overlooked tummy filler was far broader than we could ever imagine.

So, we decided to start this blog to pour both praise and criticism on the ever-increasing array of potato crisp* snacks from around the world, to share news on any new or exciting developments in the field, and to engage in customer satisfaction and producer comparison tests. All involving worryingly amateur amounts of experience, expertise and scientific** opinion, as you will see over the coming months and (subject to coronary complications) years.

We also wanted a place where others, from all over the world, could come and discuss the crisp phenomenon with us. If that's you, then welcome!

We're not evil corporate marketing monsters, we're not allied to any particular brand or company, and we certainly aren't doing this for any money. We're just a bunch of chunky people with a habit. Clear?

In a moment i'll post up a review I did a few months ago which set this entire greasy snowball in motion, and very soon we'll have another couple of reviews and the introduction of our soon-to-be-feared Crisp Comparison Panel. In the meantime, go and grab yourself a packet of your favourite crisps and tell us, in no more than 25 words, why they're your favourite.

Happy chomping!

* we are far from crispist, and will also consider the humble corn-based snack. the jury is still currently out on those biscuits masquerading as crisps (yes we're looking at YOU, Mini Cheddar).

** there will be little or no actual science involved.
